For the entire month of July, I will be participating in the annual Haiku-thon hosted by :iconiscariot-priest:. Each day, I will update this set with either a haiku or senryu which alludes (or does not) to the season of summer. Enjoy, and please support the haiku-thon by participating or featuring one of the stamps

4. This is a reference to Kennesaw Mountain; a Civil War battlefield located near my home.

12. Lotus-meditation or yoga posture

Awesome man. I can't wait to watch this one grow (glow?). I have to wait half an hour for mine. Damn you time zones!
:iconlaurence55:
Thanks Scott! I really can't wait to see your work either. Its been a joy to watch your growing interest in haiku and its related styles. I know you're going to shine!
:iconmooshu17:
Glowworms? I always went for fireflies myself. I'm excited to see your work this coming month :) I know it'll be good stuff :)

I am the entity of the end. I am the darkness, I am your shadow. Forgive me for existing, in your perfect world.

Fangirls/Boys make us look bad. Why don't they just shut up? Shoo, go away. You can like whatever you want, just use your brains. :P
:iconlaurence55:
Yeah, kids tend to use both terms interchangeably down here. I can't wait to see your work either :D
:iconmooshu17:
Heh, must be a Georgia thing, I've always called them fireflies :P I don't think I've ever heard anyone use glow worms for them before. Will have to ask :)

:iconlaurence55:
Haha...must be! The "real" glowworm is actually the larval stage of a beetle that is unrelated to the firefly. :)
:iconmooshu17:
Exactly, and I think they don't even live in the South :P I'm just messing with your by the way :)

LOL, yeah I know. They're actually native to Chile, though they are in Florida now too :)
